This is a public discussion for the development of the Adrenaline Gaming server assets.

First, the situation:
We are currently renting a 3-core VDS from NFOServers. Its cost is $75/month. This server is not sufficient to run the assets we would like to - we are running Teamspeak, DayZ, and web. If we were to add another game instance to this box, it is likely that others such as DayZ would become unstable.

Before we ran DayZ, as many of you may remember, we ran a modified Minecraft server with a custom modpack. For those of you that are new, if you enjoy Minecraft, our server takes it to the next level - industry, computer science, economics and politics, and even nuclear power become integral parts of the game.

Here's the problem: Currently, I am funding the entire server cost. It's a not insignificant financial drain for me, but I do it because I love what this community is maturing into.

My proposal is to purchase a single-core upgrade from NFOServers. This would give us 25% more bandwidth, RAM, and processing power, and would allow us to run other things (such as an instance of Minecraft) alongside DayZ.

To do this, though, I require your help. You can donate through what we call Supporting Memberships - these are upgrades to your account that allow certain benefits in exchange for your donation to the server.

1. Reserve slots on all servers (where possible by code - note that we have not found a solution for ArmA yet)
2. Private teamspeak channels/sections
3. Additional Teamspeak powers
4. Ability to import 1 structure (if accepted) per month of supporting membership from mcschematics.com
5. [AG] Email Address & Webspace (if requested)
6. Clearly identified on Teamspeak and Forums as a donator

Additionally, if we obtain enough supporting memberships, the price of the membership will drop according to the amount we have (after server upgrades are taken into consideration). We will NEVER make a profit -- all (non-privacy infringing) financial records will be published beginning this month.

This thread is for the purpose of making suggestions to better the community. If you have a server you'd like to see run and get enough support behind you, we'll even consider running that too - everyone's opinion matters.
